It's that time of the year again to visit Kingaroy.
Will be meeting at Mac Donald’s on Waterworks Rd The Gap , 7.30am and will be leaving at 8.00am , please have a full tank of gas upon arrival .
Will be going over Nebo , Glorious and heading to Esk and Crow’s Nest where we will be stopping for Fuel and a bite to eat .Then it’s down some more back roads and over The Bunya Mountains and though to Kingaroy . Should be there around 2.00ish .
We will be having a BBQ for dinner around the pool at the end of the day .
We will be staying at the Kingaroy Country Motel , please Google it for yourself . As you will see they have rooms with single and double beds in them so you can double up in the room to lower the price if you wish .
You will need to pay the deposit yourself and if you are wanting to shear a room with someone please let me know as I might be able to help you .
The ride home will be decided the night before around the pool .
However this ride will only take place weather permitting .

It is Mardi Grass time again and we have two major events on, a stall at Fair Day and Boys on Bikes as part of the pre-parade actives on Mardi Grass night.
We need people for fair day and lots of entrants for Boys on Bikes. If you are interested in being part of Boys-on-bikes in the Mardi Grass parade ‘Enter Now’ by going to the Road runners web site (http://www.roadrunners.net.au/) and signing up please note you have to register by clicking on the icon on the left hand side of the page. Come along and join the fun it is a great experience.
WHAT TO WEAR: There is no “formal” attire for the parade! Feel free to dress up (or down!) as you would like. Remember this is Mardi gras and we are making a statement! Leather, rubber, uniform, drag – as little or as much as you want! It’s up to you! Just remember that you must wear a helmet to and from the parade entry and exit areas. Also remember that there is limited space in the support vehicle! Getting dressed/changed for the parade will take place once inside the parade marshalling area.
DRESSING OF BIKES: Each bike will be decorated with a rainbow flag and an Australian flag – one on each handle bar. They will be attached using cable ties. These will be supplied by Sydney Roadrunners and will be attached at the parade marshalling area this is inside the parade route reducing the time you have to wait around.
SUPPORT VEHICLE: We will have a support vehicle with us to be able to pick up any bikes which break down on the parade route. The support vehicle will also be able to carry helmets plus a limited amount of jackets and any other clothing not required during the parade. Please note that helmets are not compulsory on the parade route but must be worn to and from the parade start and end areas!
This year we will meet at the parade assembly area in Driver Ave, here will decorate the bikes and get dressed for the ride down the parade route and back again plus filling some basic paperwork. The aim is to reduce the time you are waiting around and getting ready before the actual parade. The time is yet to be agreed with MG but will likely be 5 or 5.30pm
To ride your bike in the parade, all riders must have a valid and current driving licence. All motorcycles must be registered and display a current valid registration label. All motorcycles must be in a roadworthy condition. Particular attention should be paid to ensuring tyres are in good condition and tread is within legal limits and that all lights are in working order. All riders and pillions must be alcohol and drug free. Police will possibly breathalyse all riders prior to the parade. All bikes must have a full tank of petrol at the start of the parade. Boys on Bikes is open to anyone as long as they as they realize that it is a gay and lesbian event and they are supportive of our aims, they do not have to part of Road Runners.
If you have any questions ring Perry on 0418155679 or Rowan 0403055401
Looking forward to a good turnout for Boy on Bikes
